Smoke detectors save lives in South Point, OH fire

Smoke detectors are being credited with saving lives Wednesday morning in South Point, Ohio.

The fire began at about 4:30 a.m. at a home on the corner of Rose Street and 4th Street.

The smoke detectors started going off, according to officials and the family was able to make it out of the house okay.

Investigators are still trying to figure out how the fire began.
