Bobby Dale Earnhardt has moved one step closer to NASCAR racing this year.

He and his Chevy body style truck, along with Wilson Motorsports of Tyler County, will race in the complete ARCA Truck Series in 2013.

The ARCA Truck Series is one of the most diverse series in short-track racing, with a history of races on dirt and asphalt from quarter-mile tracks to 1-mile tracks.

Earnhardt moved to West Virginia in March 2012 and teamed up with Wilson Motorsports. He created a three-year plan to get to the NASCAR level.

Earnhardt said in a news release that he and his crew feel they have gained track experience and greater car control that will help him in his next level with the ARCA Truck Series.

"I would like to thank my West Virginia sponsors, All-N-One Pawn, Drive in Barbershop and Wilson Motorsports, and thanks to my pawpaw Dale, who taught me that it takes dedication, determination and hard work to get to the winner's circle on the track and in life."
