Routine traffic stop leads to cocaine arrest

Athens County Sheriff's deputies arrested two after finding drugs during a routine traffic stop Saturday afternoon in Nelsonville.

According to Sheriff Kelly, the deputy's canine "indicated" on the vehicle after it was stopped. Troopers found and seized 10 grams of cocaine, marijuana, and scales.

Deputies arrested the driver Bradley Diefenderfer, 23, of Columbus. Deputies also cited a passenger, Andres Rivas, for possession of marijuana.

Diefenderfer was taken to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
