A commissioner is facing domestic violence charges Tuesday morning.

Les Boggs was arrested Tuesday morning by Lawrence County Deputies.

Deputies tell 13 News that they responded to a 911 call in the 200 block of County Road 181 in Ironton at about 4:20 p.m. Monday.

When they arrived, deputies say they found Tara Boggs, Les Bogg's wife.  She told deputies that her husband assaulted her, and then signed a criminal affidavit, pressing charges against her husband.

Just as deputies say they were wrapping things up, Mr. Boggs got home.  He was then arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail where he bonded out and awaits trial.
