A new campaign has been introduced in hopes of preventing child abuse.
The West Virginia Child Advocacy Network announced the initiative at a news conference Tuesday morning in Charleston.
It's called "One With Courage" and it's aimed at spreading awareness about child abuse. The program is also calling residents to action to stand up against abuse. It provides people with specific steps they can take to make a difference in a child's life.

If you suspect a child under the age of 18 is being abused or neglected, or is at risk for abuse or neglect, you should make a report to your local county Department of Health and Human Resources and your local law enforcement agency. The WV Child Abuse Hotline number is 1-800-352-6513.
