Federal prosecutors have charged an ex-felon with illegally possessing 18 firearms, body armor and 40,000 rounds of ammunition.
An indictment in federal court in Toledo Wednesday also claims that Richard Schmidt illegally trafficked in counterfeit clothing marked with brand names such as the National Football League, Nike and Reebok.
The indictment against the 47-year-old Schmidt said he was convicted of manslaughter in Lucas County court in 1990 and so was not allowed to own guns.
The indictment said guns seized from Schmidt included pistols, shotguns and assault rifles.
An FBI affidavit filed in December stated at least seven high-capacity ammunition magazines were found inside Schmidt's sports memorabilia store in Bowling Green.
