If you're looking for a chance to grab some great prizes and help a good cause, Carnivale at the Clay Center For The Arts and Sciences in Charleston may have the answer.
Carnivale begins on Saturday, January 17. Among the most popular events of the festival is the silent auction.
Everything from pottery to autographed footballs will be up for bid, and all of the proceeds go to keep programs at the Clay Center and the Charleston Ballet running.
"People from where ever they are in the facility can bid on their smart phones. We will also have bidding kiosks all over the facility so they can bid. So they can really take part in the entertainment and have a good time, and they don't have to be at the table the entire time to bid on these," said Lesli Forbes, with the Volunteer Friends of Clay Center Board.
All of the items can be seen on the Clay Center's website. The auction generates around $25,000 for programs at the center and the ballet.
