A felony charge of disrupting public service has been dismissed against Lawrence County Commissioner Les Boggs. The charges were dismissed in Ironton Municipal Court.
Boggs, 51, meanwhile pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.
Boggs was arrested January 14 after Sheriff's deputies responded to a domestic dispute call from his home in the Ironton area. He was taken to the Lawrence County Jail and released after posting a 1,000 dollar bond.
The felony charge of disrupting service was added prior to his court appearance.
A special prosecutor in the case reported that Bogg's wife asked for the felony charge to be dismissed.
Pre-trial has been set for 10 a.m. on February 21.
