Charleston Police have confirmed that a third person was arrested Friday night in connection with a drug arrest, escape and pursuit.

Edward Jacobs, Jr. was taken into custody a little before 8 p.m. according to police.

Police are still looking for James Reyes.

Two of the people that ran from Charleston police Friday afternoon have been caught and charged.

Kashea Jones, 20, and John Montgomery, 36, are charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin.

The two others are still at large. Police say they were both wearing handcuffs at the time of their escape.

Jones and Montgomery are being held on $25,000 bond.

A routine traffic stop on Charleston's West Side led to the arrest of three people for narcotics Friday afternoon.

Officers went to a house where the suspects were prior to the arrest. When they arrive at the house a fourth suspect emerges from the house. Police leave the three in the cruiser to pursue the fourth suspect on foot.

While police were in pursuit of the fourth suspect, the three in the cruiser managed to escape.

One female who had escaped police custody was recaptured. They also were able to arrest the fourth male who was inside the house.

The two suspects who escaped from the police cruiser remain at large. They are described as black males, James Reyes and Edward Jacobs, last seen in handcuffs.

One male and one female have been arrested after being chased down by police on Violet Street on Charleston's West Side.

Dispatchers say they escaped custody during an arrest and fled with handcuffs on.
