Huntington man gets prison time for selling oxycodone

A Huntington man was sentenced to two years in federal prison for aiding and abetting the possession with intent to distribute oxycodone, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.

Rayshawn Allah Wells, 22, previously pleaded guilty in September.

Wells admitted to selling oxycodone pills to a confidential information in 2010.

It happen in Holden, Logan County.

Members of the U.S. 119 Task Force served a search warrant at a house in Holden and arrested Wells, along with other individuals.  His co-defendant, Kawan Michael Wells, was sentenced to five years probation in December.

Authorities said they seized dozens of oxycodone tablets during the sting.

The U.S. 119 Task Force handled the investigation.
