Kentucky State Police have charged two people in connection of a meth lab in Carter county.

Police say they got a tip on Saturday of a suspected methamphetamine lab at a residence  on Laurel Lane in Olive Hill, KY.

When they got there, they found Randal R. Lucas hiding under a bed.

Officers say Lucas gave troopers false information in an attempt to conceal his identity.

Police say he also possessed needles.

After searching the residence, they found a methamphetamine lab, finished product, and additional items of drug paraphernalia.

Police charged Randal R. Lucas, 23, of Olive Hill, with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, wanton endangerment, giving a false name, and possession of drug paraphenalia.

Virginia Spears, 32, of Olive Hill, KY is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to notify address change to Department of Transportation.

Both are in the Carter County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigation also responded and assisted.

The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Bryant Marcum.
