The Kentucky State Police have lost one of their own after a two vehicle collision on I-64 eastbound near mile marker 99.
On Tuesday evening, January 22 around 7:30 p.m., Trooper Anson Blake Tribby, 25, of Mt. Sterling, KY, was driving his personal mid-sized 1999 Toyota pickup truck when he was involved in a collision with a flatbed wrecker operated by John Masterson, 54, of Winchester, KY.
Trooper Tribby was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clark County Coroner. Trooper Tribby was a two and a half year veteran with the Kentucky State Police and was assigned to the Morehead Post.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
