A $500 fine and up to a year in jail, that's what the 14-year-old who was arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt could face, following his arraignment today.

Police are looking for a person who ran away after a traffic stop early Thursday morning.

Dispatchers say a Nitro officer pulled over a dark green Jeep Cherokee on route 817 at about 3:15 Thursday morning.
Before he could talk to the driver, the Jeep drove off starting a chase off the Nitro exit. The chase continued to Miracle acres. That's when dispatchers say the driver of the Jeep rolled down their window and threw something at the officer.
The chase continued to Joseph Road, when the Jeep stopped and the driver ran away.
The Nitro officer called for backup from Nitro police, Putnam County deputies, Kanawha County deputies and St. Albans police along with canine units.
As of 3:51 a.m. Thursday, the chase continues in the area around Joesph Road in St. Albans.
