Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Charleston

Two men are facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Charleston early Friday morning.

Charleston Police arrested Antwain Bannerman, 28, and Bryant Carr, 33.

Officers said they stopped the men on I-64 near exit 57.

The driver of the vehicle was issued a warning citation.  He then told police Bannerman placed a gun in the trunk of the vehicle, according to the criminal complaint.

Police searched the car and found a gun, along with oxycodone tablets, according to court documents.

Bannerman and Carr are in the South Central Regional Jail with bail set at $25,000.
