Fayette County Mine Instructor sentenced for cocaine distribution

CHARLESTON, West Virginia -

 

A former Fayette County mine instructor was sentence Friday to two to three years probation for distributing cocaine. 

Gerald Hopkins admitted to selling 2.94 grams of cocaine to a law enforcement informant at his Fayetteville residence, where he conducted mine safety training courses. 

Hopkins was also ordered to pay $500 in court costs.

West Virginia State Police conducted the investigation.
