With tax season right around the corner the Financial Stability Partnership of the River Cities partnered with Fifth Third Bank to bring the Financial Empowerment Mobile to the Cabell County Library.
The eBus was setup to assist families with a household income below $51,000 for free tax preparation. In addition to preparing tax returns, Fifth Third Bank offered free credit checks and credit counseling. Organizers say it's service that is much needed and used.
Gretchen Bias of Fifth Third Bank says, "It is very important that we offer this service because there are a lot of individuals out there who don't like coming into a banking center per say, so they like this opportunity because we bring it to them."
If you missed the bus, no need to worry. The same services will be provided on Monday's at the downtown branch of the Cabell County Public Library throughout the tax season.
