The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the man involved in the domestic violence situation that occurred on January 27.

Roger W. Crisp of Waterloo, Ohio had been in an argument with his daughter for the past several days when he traveled to her residence on County Road 181 and began to fire random shots with a .22 caliber revolver as he drove by the residence.

After Crisp was confronted by law enforcement officers, he stopped his pickup truck in front of the residence and stepped out firing two more shots.

Mr Crisp then retrieved a .270 caliber bolt action Mossberg rifle and fired three shots toward the Coal Grove police cruiser.

One of the rounds struck the cruiser and lodged in the hood.

Crisp then returned to his pickup and would not respond to officers.  He then turned the .22 caliber revolver on himself and fired two shots into his chest.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.  His body has been taken to Franklin County for an autopsy.
