– With opening day less than four weeks away, West Virginia University
has announced ticket packages will go on sale Monday, Jan. 28, at 10
a.m., for the Mountaineers' 10 regular season home games at Appalachian
Power Park in Charleston, W.Va.
The
10-game packages begin at $70 for reserved seating and $50 for general
admission. Prices for single game tickets will be announced at a later
date.
Tickets can be purchased through the West Virginia Power Box Office by calling 304-344-BATS (2287).
Ticket
packages will include three Big 12 series against Texas Tech (March
22-24), Oklahoma (May 3-5) and TCU (May 10-12) and a non-conference game
with Morehead State on Tuesday, April 16.
"West
Virginia baseball is very excited to enter the first season of
competition in the Big 12," assistant athletic director for marketing
and sales Matt Wells says. "We're also excited about the opportunity to
play 10 games in a wonderful venue like Appalachian Power Park. We look
forward to bringing WVU baseball to Mountaineer fans in the Charleston
area."
The
WVU baseball team is entering its first season in Big 12 play under
first-year coach Randy Mazey. The Mountaineers open the 2013 season on
Feb. 15 when they travel to North Florida for a three-game series.
