PORTSMOUTH -
Eight women have been arrested for prostitution in Portsmouth.
Police from Portsmouth and New Boston set up the sting, and arrested:
Peggy Erks, 22 years of age, Portsmouth, 1 count of Solicitation
Jennifer Shepherd, 34 years old, Portsmouth, 1 count of Solicitation
Ebony Underwood, 32 years old, Portsmouth, 1 count of Solicitation
Ashley Maynard-Apel, 33 years old, West Portsmouth, 1 count of Solicitation
Mechelle Smith, 29 years old, Portsmouth, 1 count of Solicitation
Chrissy Parsons, 29 years of age, Portsmouth, 1 count of Solicitation
Christie Stapleton, 24 years of age, Portsmouth, 1 count of Solicitation
Carol King, 32 years of age, Portsmouth, 1 count of solicitation and 1 count of Possession of Drug Abuse
Instruments.
In a release, police say they're seeking more tips for prostitution and other crimes.
