George Washington senior tail back Ryan Switzer is counting down the days until he leaves Charleston for the University of North Carolina.

But before the Tar Heel recruit leaves the Capital City, he's taking home another honor.

Switzer has been named to the 2012 Parade All-American list.

The entire list will be released nationally next week.

Switzer took home the Kennedy Award last month for the 2nd consecutive year.

That award goes to the West Virginia High School Football Player of the Year.

This past season, Switzer led GW to a 10-3 record and to the AAA state runner up.

He also rushed for 2,379 yards and 32 touchdowns in 2012.
