A $500 fine and up to a year in jail, that's the penalty that 14-year-old Jared Marcum, who was arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt, could face, now that a judge has allowed the prosecution to move forward with it's obstructing an officer charge against him.
Neighbors in Wayne county and around the tri-state region were asking about a "low rumbling noise" Tuesday night.
Wayne county dispatchers said they've been getting calls from areas in Westmoreland, Ceredo and Kenova non-stop about the noise. After investigating the source, dispatchers said they found it was simply Marathon Refinery's industrial burning in Boyd County, KY that caused the rumble.
Dispatchers say no one is in danger and the burning should discontinue at about midnight.
