In light of Wednesday's severe storms and the potential threat of tornadoes, a child development center took the opportunity to teach an important lesson about being prepared.
Playmates Child Development of Lavalette organized an emergency drill.
The students and staff actually go through fire drills twice a month, according to center officials. But since tornado watches were issued in the area on Wednesday, they said they wanted students to be prepared if a tornado hit and not be afraid to take precautions.
Staff members showed students how to find a safe spot in the building, get on the floor and cover their heads for protection.
