HUNTINGTON -

Tom Gilpin of Huddleston Bolen has been selected a 2013 "Top Rated Lawyer in Health Care" by American Lawyer Media, publishers of The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel magazines.

Gilpin, who serves as the chairman of the firm's management committee, represents a number of health care clients in the greater Huntington area, including various physician practice groups.

Gilpin also has been included in the Best Lawyers in America listing for several years. He was honored for his work in the area of bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights law. He also is listed in the Chambers USA's Guide to America's Leading Business Lawyers in the area of real estate law and listed in West Virginia Super Lawyers in the areas of energy and natural resources, bankruptcy and creditor rights, and real estate law.

He is a member and vice chairman of the board of the Cabell-Huntington Health Department and serves as one of four members of a committee on the revision of the West Virginia State Bar By-Laws and Rules and Regulations. The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals appointed him to that position in 2012. 

He is a member of the West Virginia Roundtable and a long-standing member of the board of directors and past president of the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce.
