A Charleston night club with a history of legal problems is apparently down to its last few days in business.
During a news conference on Thursday afternoon, Charleston mayor Danny Jones said the city has sent a letter to the owner of Impulse nightclub that its conditional permit to do business would be revoked in ten days.
The move was prompted by an incident earlier in January when a fight began outside the club and a man was stabbed.
The letter says the Zoning Board approved the license five years ago on the condition that the club would operate as an upscale establishment. The letter states that instead, city officials believe Impulse has continuously put patrons safety at risk. The letter indicates that the owner has 30 days to appeal the revocation.
