A man is on the run and considered armed and dangerous according to authorities with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
A man is on the run and considered armed and dangerous according to authorities with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
A Lucasville, Ohio man has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
Kyle Cassidy age 27 of Millers Run Back Run Lucasville, Cassidy has been charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery a felony of the 1st degree.
Sheriff Marty V. Donini issued a news release on Monday. It stated that the Scioto County Sheriff's Office 911 center received a call from someone at a home on Millers Run Back Run on January 31, 2013. The call came in at about 11 p.m. according to the news release. A man, his wife and children came home to find their house had been ransacked.
The homeowner then said he saw a man inside the house, holding a knife. A struggle took place, according to the news release, resulting in Cassidy kicking the woman who was pregnant in the stomach according to the news release. Cassidy then held the knife up to the man's throat and demanded his wallet. At that point, the homeowner received a laceration to his hand. Cassidy also said he was going to kill the man according to the news release. He also said that another man was outside with a shotgun, but that was never seen according to the news release. Cassidy fled the house taking a set of car keys which resulted in him stealing the victim's vehicle.
Sheriff Donini stated that both victims were treated and released at Southern Ohio Medical Center as a result of their injuries.
Detectives received a tip on Friday, Feb. 1, that led to a traffic stop and Cassidy's arrest.
