WVDOH releases up close view of bridge demolition - WOWK 13 Charleston, Huntington WV News, Weather, Sports

The Dick Henderson Bridge connecting Saint Albans and Nitro is being replaced. Onlookers were able to see the bridge from a distance, but Thursday, members of the West Virginia Division of Highways released a video showing an up close look of the bridge and its piecemeal demolition.

Workers are cutting the steel truss and lowering the bridge piece by piece onto a barge. The barge then takes the piece to a recycling plant. 

The process is expected to last until March.
