A string of suspicious fires from May of 2011 to June of 2012 had neighbors in Summersville concerned for their property and for their safety.
Faculty and students at Shawnee State University are holding a silent art auction to raise money for a trip to Europe.
The event runs from Friday, February 8, through Friday, February 22 at the Verne Riffe Center for the Arts.
Different types of art will be on display in the halls including watercolors, oils, photography, digital art and ceramics.
A bid sheet will be on each piece for the public to place their bids.
Students donated the art to help them raise money for an educational trip to Spain and France on February 27.
The center is open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.
