Huntington Police charge a man in connection with allegedly robbing the CVS Pharmacy on 20th Street.

Jeremy Johnson, 30, of Huntington was arrested Thursday evening without incident at a house in the 2800 Block of North Staunton Street.

Police say they had information about a suspect and watched the area most of the afternoon until Johnson was spotted at the home just before 7 p.m.

Officers say they arrested him after he came out of the home and surrendered.

Johnson was charged with First degree robbery in Cabell County Magistrate court.

He says he didn't know he was a suspect in the case until his brother said he saw him on the news.

Johnson claims he can prove he was with a friend at a doctor appointment in Nitro at the time of the robbery.

He was taken to Western Regional jail with a $100,000 cash-only bond.

Johnson is set to appear in court February 22.

Police say they hope to identify a second suspect.
