The suspect in a bank robbery on Charleston's West Side is now in custody.

The robbery occurred at the BB&T on Patrick Street around 10 a.m. on February 1.

According to Lt. Steve Cooper of the Charleston Police Department, after sorting through numerous surveillance videos from the bank, a tractor trailer truck was spotted by investigators in the parking lot of the bank in the area where the suspect fled.

In the hopes of gaining a possible witness to the crime, detectives got in contact with the trucking company, TSI, based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

An employee at TSI searched the Internet for the case, and saw the surveillance photo released of the suspect by police.  That employee recognized the suspect as the driver of the truck in question.

As a result, a warrant was issued for William Douglass Young, 41, of Louisville.

He was arrested late Thursday night, no word yet on the date of his extradition hearing.
