UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Gold and Exchange robbery

According to a press release, Saturday afternoon Huntington Police arrested 27-year-old Danny Ray Napier II, in conjunction with the armed robbery from Gold and Silver Exchange that happened the morning of Friday, Feb. 15.

Napier is charged with 1st degree robbery and taken to Western Regional Jail where he's being held on a cash $100,000 Bond.

He also had an unrelated active misdemeanor capias from Wayne County.


The search continues for a man accused of robbing a jewelry buyer in Huntington. Police released new information on Friday about the suspect.

Investigators say a man approached the Gold and Silver Exchange on 5th Avenue at around 10:30 a.m. and acted as though he wanted to pawn some jewelry.

The clerk said during the exchange, the man pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. He got it and took off running.

Police described the suspect as a man with a thin build, dark hair and a mustache.
