A man is on the run and considered armed and dangerous according to authorities with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
A man is on the run and considered armed and dangerous according to authorities with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
An effort to stop a car for a traffic violation turned into a police chase.
Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies tried to pull over a car on Route 34 in Hurricane just before 6:00 p.m. Saturday night. Instead of pulling over, the vehicle's driver continued, starting a police chase.
Eventually the car pulled over into a shopping plaza parking lot. The driver got out and ran away on foot.
Deputies and State Police are searching for the person now.
There's no word on why the driver fled.
