I-64 re-opened just after 11 p.m. Saturday after being shut down on and off throughout the night in Kanawha and Putnam counties due to icy conditions and emergencies.
Over twenty wrecks were reported in Putnam County alone, and dispatchers in Kanawha County couldn't give us a number of wrecks that started just before 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
Dispatchers said they had a hard time keeping up with all the accidents, and couldn't even give us a number of those transported with injuries to hospitals throughout the night.
