The investigation continues into an incident where a sheriff's deputy shot a man during a road-side scuffle.
Gallia County Sheriff, Joe Browning says the deputy had approached the car driven by Ranon Brock Scenic Drive in Springfield Township at about 1am on Monday, but Brock sped off.
The pursuit ended with Brock losing control and crashing into a ditch.
Browning says his deputy then had an altercation with Brock, and shot him once in the elbow.
Ranon was treated and released at Holzer Hospital, and incarcerated on an outstanding warrant for trafficking in drugs.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations is handling the case.
