CHARLESTON, West Virginia -

NiSource Gas Transmission, the parent company of Columbia Gas, has changed its name to Columbia Pipeline Group.

The company, which owns the Sissonville pipeline that exploded December 11, owns 15,000 miles of pipeline, according to a news release about the name change.

The Indiana headquartered company has been battling residents in Sissonville over repayment agreements following the blast.

Several homeowners are unhappy with settlement agreements that would have the homeowner pay taxes on the money turned over.

A final National Safety Transportation Board report is still several weeks, or even months, away, according to a recent report.
