More than 4,100 customers were without service at about 8:30 p.m. according to the AEP web site. Lincoln County had more than 3,100 customers in the dark. Outages were also reported in Logan, Mingo, Kanawha and Wayne County.

Joshua Greenwood was reported missing late Monday night. Guards said he was unaccounted for in a 10:15 p.m. head count. He was serving time on grand larceny charges out of Cabell County.

West Virginia State Police confirmed that 21-year-old Austin Marcum, a driver, died at the scene.

Fire officials are investigating a fire that broke out just after 5:15 a.m. at 602 First Street in Ceredo.

According to dispatchers, one person was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
