SURVEILLANCE VIDEO: Convenience store robbed in Huntington, WV; police searching for suspect

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia -


According to a release sent to 13 News, a robbery occurred at the Go-Mart on 10th Street and Washington Ave. in Huntington.

The suspect is described as being a black male, 5'8" tall, weighing around 170 lbs., in his mid-20's.  At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black hooded coat with a red bandana covering his face.

According to the release, the man entered the store from the east side of the building and walked around the counter.  He then demanded that the cashier open the drawer and give him the money.

The cashier told police the suspect said he was armed, but the cashier didn't see a weapon.

The suspect then fled with an unknown amount of money and he was last seen going west.  Police believe he discarded his bandanna and coat at the intersection of 11th Street West.

No one was injured during the robbery and police are still investigating.

Dispatchers confirm the robbery happened just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the Go-Mart on Washington Avenue on Huntington's west side.
