KSP to host Citizens police academy

Kentucky State Police in Ashland will host the fourth annual Citizens Police Academy beginning Thursday, March 28.

The event takes place at the Health and Education Center at Kings Daughters Medical Center from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m..

Classes run every Thursday evening for 11 weeks with a graduation ceremony held on June 6.

Those taking the class will get an close look at the various aspects of the Kentucky State Police.

Participants will be have the opportunity to interact with Troopers that work in the local communities.

The class is free.
