13 News has teamed up with the Honor Flight Network which provides free one day trips to the war memorials in Washington, DC.

The first flight from our region is booked for May 11.

Honor Flight is taking applications from WW2, Korea and Vietnam veterans who would like to take that trip on May 11 which leaves from the Huntington Tri-State Airport.

Honor flight also needs volunteers to escort the veterans on board the flight and they also need donations to help pay for the trip.

For more information on how you can apply for the trip and how you can help with donations go to honorflight.org or call 937-521-2400.
