Crews were called to the scene Monday night of a reported explosion and fire in Fayette County.
It happened on Deep Water Mountain just before 8:30 p.m., on Route 61, just south of Montgomery.
Emergency dispatchers confirmed the fire and explosion. They said it apparently started in a garage and that the car inside caused the explosion when the gas tank erupted.
There were no reports of injuries and crews had the blaze under control, according to dispatchers.
