Two employees have been honored as Jewel Award winners by West Virginia University Hospitals-East's Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
Maureen Joy, registration specialist, was honored with the hospital's Ruby Award, which represents warmth in the delivery of care and a willingness to assist patients, staff and others.
Rachel Green, a registered nurse with the emergency department, was given the Diamond Award, which represents the ability to withstand great pressure and temperature.
Christina Coad, chief administrative officer at the hospital, presented the fourth-quarter awards.
