A former fire chief and his wife were indicted on felony charges Thursday, according to documents obtained from Fayette County Court.

Cabell County 911 dispatchers tell 13 NEWS that a seven-year-old boy was hit by a car.

The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. near Rucker Street and College Avenue in Barboursville.

A witness said the boy was laying in the road after being struck by the vehicle.

We are told he was hit in the leg and his injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
