HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Marshall University is once again planning two commencement ceremonies on the same day.
The university says associate and bachelor's degree candidates will receive diplomas at a morning ceremony on May 11. Master's and doctoral degree candidates will get their diplomas that afternoon.
Marshall conducted two ceremonies on the same day for the first time in 2012 and decided to do it again this spring. Registrar Roberta Ferguson says the format made for shorter ceremonies and a more enjoyable experience for graduates and their families.
