A $500 fine and up to a year in jail, that's what the 14-year-old who was arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt could face, following his arraignment today.
A $500 fine and up to a year in jail, that's the penalty that 14-year-old Jared Marcum, who was arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt, could face, now that a judge has allowed the prosecution to move forward with it's obstructing an officer charge against him.
A Cabell County man pleaded guilty in federal court to illegal firearm possession, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.
Kenneth Richard Nance, 43 of Huntington, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a person subject to a domestic violence protection order.
Nance admitted to possessing a pistol in December 2011, authorities said.
At the time of the incident, Nance had a domestic violence protection order against him, court documents show.
Nance faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced in June.
The investigation was handled by the FBI, the ATF, and the Cabell County Sheriff's Department.
