Peju Winery announced today that their 2012 holiday fundraising efforts for the Make-A-Wish foundation succeeded in fulfilling a child’s wish.
Rutherford, CA (PRWEB) March 06, 2013
During the months of November and December, the winery donated 10% of net proceeds from gift merchandise to Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area. With this contribution, Alex from Novato was able to attend a San Francisco Giants game, meet the team and receive a bat signed by the World Series Champions. Today, proprietor Ariana Peju delivered a check for $7,500 to Janette Kennedy, Corporate Development Officer for Make-A-Wish.
“The wish gave strength to Alex to keep fighting his battle against Leukemia…and gave him beautiful memories which will be with him for the rest of his life.”
“As a family-owned winery in our thirtieth year in Napa we felt it was important to share our good fortune with those who are most in need. We chose to work with Make-A-Wish as a way to grant a wish to one local Bay Area child who is going through a tough time in their life and provide them with some hope, strength and joy. We are so pleased to hear about Alex’s special day!”
Ariana Peju, Proprietor
