Charlo Greene joins WOWK as the weekend anchor, reporter.
After spending her earliest years enjoying 24-hour summer days and winters that seemed to last for an eternity in Anchorage, Alaska, Charlo moved from temperate extreme, to another.
After high school, she left Alaska to begin attending the University of Texas at Arlington.
Before graduating Cum Laude, with her bachelor's in Broadcast News, Charlo's work as an intern and production assistant at KXAS and KDAF in Dallas, Texas helped her prepare for the world of multi-platform journalism.
Charlo began her on-air career as an anchor/reporter for WOAY in Beckley, West Virginia and has since worked as an anchor/reporter at WRWR in Macon, Georgia and WJHL in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Charlo is excited and honored to have the opportunity to bring news that matters to the people southern Ohio, eastern Kentucky and western West Virginia.
In her free time, Charlo enjoys teaching her toy poodle, Indiana Jones, new tricks and DIY (do it yourself) arts, crafts and beauty projects at home.
