Someone broke a window and opened a fire escape, then trashed a classroom. Deer urine was spilled all over the floor and a desk. Workers also found rancid dead deer parts in the hallway and blood on the floors.

At about 1:00 a.m. on May 17, Hamlin police were called to Barbara Apartments in Hamlin where they found Holly Roberts and James Randolph "passed out" in a Grand Prix with an 18-month-old in the back seat.

Certainly not everyone is happy with the state supreme
court's decision concerning the Kanawha
County school board and the public
library. But, what's done is done. Rather than fume and get angry, we
need to focus our energy on making certain we have a viable public library
system. It's not going to be easy, but finding a way to make it work is
vital.
