NEW INFORMATION:
All lanes of I-64 near the 17th Street West bridge are back open following a tractor trailer fire.
Traffic was shut down for about an hour around 4:30 p.m. as fire crews sprayed water on the rear axle section of the trailer.
The trailer had some fire and smoke damage around the rear wheel areas.
According to dispatchers, the I-64 eastbound lanes between exits 6 and 7 near Huntington are closed after a tractor trailer's brakes caught fire.
The eastbound lanes are closed near the 17th Street Bridge and drivers are being asked to leave the interstate at exit 6.
