A house fire was reported at 703 Ruffner Ave. in Charleston, WV around 12:30 p.m.
A woman staying at the home says she put something on the stove while she was cutting her son's hair and the next time she checked her kitchen was on fire.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire and when they checked the home they found a puppy in basement and brought it out of the home.
