A Portsmouth man is now sitting in jail after deputies found him cooking meth.

Greg Baker Jr., 35, was found in his home on Grant Street with materials most often used to create methamphetamine, according to a release from the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force.

Officers were called after a complaint. The Drug Task Force with the help of the Portsmouth Fire Department were able to take apart the meth lab.

Baker was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine within 100 feet of a juvenile and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of methamphetamine, both felonies.

Baker is in the Scioto County Jail.
