    Alpha Natural Resources announced July 31 that 11 affiliated coal mines and other facilities in West Virginia could be idled by mid-October, potentially causing 1,100 to be laid off.

Thanks in part to tips from the public the suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Kimberly Ann West, also known as Kimberly Ann Vest. West has ties to the Cross Lanes area according to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office, but is believed to have fled West Virginia for her home state of Ohio.

A warrant was issued on Monday for West for first degree armed robbery.

According to dispatchers, police are searching for a woman who got away with cash from a Cross Lanes business.

The call came in just after 9 p.m. Sunday. 

Dispatchers say a woman with sandy blonde hair in a pony-tail, walked into Ivy's gaming parlor in the 4000 block on Washington Street West and brandished a small handgun, demanding cash.

Police are now on the lookout for a gray colored 2011 or 2012 Toyota Corolla.  They say this vehicle could be involved in the robbery.  The vehicle has a plate on the front reading, "number one in Cleveland".  The car has Ohio tags.

Dispatch says the vehicle was last seen headed toward Dunbar or Charleston.

If you have any information, you're asked to contact 911 immediately.  Do not attempt to approach the suspect.
